New York City Marathon

Just wanted to give a quick progress report. I went to the doctor last week for my annual physical and ALL is good! I have lost 16lbs since March, blood pressure/pulse rate was great and doctor gave me clearance to run in the NYC Marathon!!

There are only 60 days left to the Marathon and my training is right on schedule. With my pre-race plan, I have been training for 17 weeks and have a little over 8 weeks left. I feel great and am really enjoying the process.

LOOKOUT NYC, I am so blessed!

Hi Darren,

I found your site by doing a search for "41 years old prostate cancer". I too was diagnosed at 41 and I am 43 now. I have a big appointment today and I am turing to the internet to find people who fall into my general "camp". Thanks for your positive outlook!

Hey Darren,
I had a prostatectomy in 1998 and since then my PSA has risen to 5.2. I am delighted to hear (read) that your PSA has remained near zero. As you are certainly aware, this is sometimes not the case so the Gods have been good to you.

I have been on a watchful waiting program since the surgery...sort of just waiting for the disease to win. I decided I couldn't stand it any longer since I feel that there have to be better solutions out there that people...much smarter than me...are aware of. Take a look at my site. There may be some useful info there for you or for others in the same boat since so many men are afflicted. I am at tm@prosatecancercures.org if you care to hook up. I would love to know if your PSA has continued to remain stable. In any case, stay well:)
