Call me a Triathlete!

That right! Less than 11 months ago I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at age 41 and was out of shape, but in less than 10 months since my robotic radical prostatectomy surgery I am now an official "Triathlete". That's right, in the 10 months since my surgery I trained very hard and lost 27lbs pre-surgery, ran a 5k race and completed a super sprint Triathlon. If you would have told me that pre-diagnosis that I would have accomplished those things, I would have told you to talk to the hand! I even went for my 9 month check-up with Dr Parekattil a few days before the race and he said I was doing so well that I only had to see him once a year for a check up and PSA test. I feel FABULOUS! Thanks to all those folks who donated to the Athletes for a Cure/Prostate Cancer Foundation in support of my triathlon. I raised $2850, which far exceeded my goal and my team around about $3500 total for the event. That was totally awesome. God bless you all! Life is Good!

Thank you for allowing other prostate cancer men and their families to follow your progress. My husband, 47, had surgery in January. The cancer was found only by rising PSA scores in the past year and then a biopsy. He had no symptoms or problems at all and caught us totally by surprise. I found your blog accidentally as I would stay up nights researching every bit of information in hopes we were making the right decision with the robotic prostate removal. All went very well and his recovery was quick. His bladder control is almost at normal. The ED is a bit more challenging and at times (even though he is very thankful the cancer is gone) I can see his discouragement of not having our "old" life and I think he worries it may never be the same again. Thank you for the encouragement that it does take time. We are only at the 4 month mark. I just wanted to say I continue to read your updates and we also have spread the word about prostate cancer screening. Keep writing as it was a big help for us. Good Luck!

he gave my details to the Courier Office, they told me that 3-5 days I
will receive the package and i took the medicine as prescribed by him
